Withdrawal Policy
General Right of Withdrawal
Consumers within the European Union generally have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. The exact application of this right depends on the marketplace through which the purchase was made (e.g., Epic/FAB Marketplace, Unity Asset Store). In such cases, the withdrawal or refund conditions of the respective platform shall apply.
Digital Products
For digital products (e.g., software, plugins, assets), the right of withdrawal expires once:
the digital content has been fully delivered or downloaded,
the consumer has expressly agreed to the immediate execution of the contract, and
the consumer has acknowledged that by doing so, they lose their right of withdrawal.
Refunds and Defects
Refunds for digital products may only be granted under the following conditions:
Out-of-the-box defect: The product does not work as intended in its standard form directly after installation or import, without modifications.
Severity: The defect must be significant enough to prevent the intended use of the product.
No user fault: Issues caused by incorrect setup, misuse, modification, or incompatibility with unsupported versions of software/engines do not constitute a defect.
Platform rules prevail: In all cases, the refund policies of the platform where the purchase was made take precedence over this policy.
Requests such as “accidental purchase” or similar will not be accepted, as marketplaces clearly display product details and require multiple confirmation steps during checkout.
Commissions and Custom Work
For freelance or commissioned work, withdrawal and refund terms depend on the platform used to arrange the contract (e.g., Fiverr, Upwork). If a project is agreed upon privately, a separate written contract will govern withdrawal and refund conditions.
